Tune in a turn it up! The Haverford Township Free Library has recently completed their Teen Tech Week, and what a great week it was! Every day there was a new group of new teens putting together a great radio production. So if you wanna here some great music and listen to a really funny show, keep yourself tuned into WHHS 99.9 FM . The shows will be played soon and more play time are soon to come. If you miss the on air broadcast, the shows will be posted on the radio stations web site at http://www.whhs.org/ and on the blog within the next week or so. For all you cool catz who were able to put a show on , just keep on DJing and hope to hear you on-air soon!

Up All Night by Mutiple Authors

Six Stories of six lifes, all with one thing in common. Some toss and turn at night, there is always a story to everyone's life. Why one girl wont tell her friends about her father, why one guy questions the policys of small talk, a girls small victory over her pedifile-wannabe step-father's, sexist controlling ways. Every story that has a conflict, what's yours? In my opinion the best story of the six, was The Vulnerable Hours. A eye opening story of how one night some questioned everything and others answer with an answer that free them of emotional bindings.

Well if this is you, then now is your chance to do it. The Teen Area is going to Run a Radio Show as part of Teen Tech Week from March 3rd -5th. This will be broadcast on WHHS 99.9FM, a real radio station! While dispensing relationship advice, Lane secretly loves her best friend-sandbox bud Curtis, but won't say a word to him. While Vivi falls for the boy they pay to be Isabelle's boyfriend so hard. Love comes with a price, and now it's time for Isabelle, Lane, and Vivi to pay up.
This book had an good idea for a plot but the ending was a little superfically and foresable

Make a Mardi Gras Mask!

Are you ready for Mardi Gras!?! We sure are here in the Teen Area. We are ready to party and get our groove on, so join us on February 5th at 3pm. We are going to make Mardi Gras Masks! Put everything on it from feathers, to sparkles, to who knows what. Everyone ages 12 and up or 6th grade and up is welcome.

So now you know what your doing, mark your calender, set an alarm, send yourself a letter, just make sure you are here!

Captains Log 25.3: It seems as though we have come into the Teen Area. We have gone in search of a good book to read for the long space trips. We had found plenty of great story's here before and hope to discover more. After looking around, we came across a new display. It was a Star Trek Theme Display! We could not believe our eyes! We sent a Transmission to all people inviting everyone to come check out the display! Get here quick because the books are flying off the shelves at Warp Speed!

This November 23rd, environmentalists, social activists and concerned citizens in as many as 65 countries will hit the streets for a 24-hour consumer fast in celebration of the 15th annual Buy Nothing Day, a global cultural phenomenon that originated in Vancouver, Canada.

SUPER SMASH BROS. MELEE!!!

Have you been having the strange urge to have hand-to-hand combat? Have you been jumping to fight for fun? Have you been breaking barrels and boxes hoping that an item out come out? Well then look no further because on November 17th, we will been having a Super Smash Bros. Melee Tournament!!! It will take place from 1pm to 4pm in the Yellow Room. It is appreciated if you bring your Gamecube, Copy of Super Smash Bros. Melee Game, extra controllers, memory card, and if possible (and very helpful) to bring a TV. However, it is mandatory that you bring a Gamecube controller for yourself. This is open to anyone 12 year of age or older or in grades 6 and up. This is a Teen program so anyone not meeting those requirements is not able to play*.

So as they say...let the games begin!

It's the story of Jessica Darling, she attends the high school that created the steroetype for a high school. Her life from Sophomore year to the year after college. Then her world is turned upside down when her best friend, Hope moves to Tennessee when her brother dies of a heroine overdose. To keep her friend close they use the TOTALLY GUILT-FREE GUIDELINES TO KEEPING IN TOUCH. email, phone, aim you know the deal. Making throught the school day is unbareable having to sit with the clueless crew at lunch to keep from being alone. Because being alone is like giving up, right? Then dealing with new and old friends she still manages to always be constant, at least in her writing, they are always blunt and marked with cinical witty and heart. A book well worth the read, no matter if you are in high school or college.

We hope you had a happy Halloween, cause we sure did! Here at the Library, got our spook on during the anime clubs Halloween party and it really got scary at the anime clubs first annual Hollowcon!
